This is one of the most popular kayak routes in Ibiza. Most of the route goes through a beautiful natural reserve.
The route starts in Cala Carbo, near the south cost of the island, where we will pass the famous Cala Truja and Cala d' Hort, featuring the most spectacular sunset of the island with a beautiful scenery of Es Vedra . We cross Cap Blanc to reach Raco des Mataret where we can relax before or after going through Es Vedra. We continue the journey until the Punta de l' Oliva, then pass through Vedranell and then Es Vedra. We approach Vedranell towards Punta des Enterrossais, then passing by s'Olleta until we reach Punta d'es Escullets.
From there we cross Es Vedra on the north side, which has calm waters as it is buffered from the sea. We then pass between the small isle of Sa Galera and see all the awesome cavities, caves and cliffs, carved by the sea and wind through time into the impressive rock of Es Vedra. In Sunta de Sa Bestorre there is a small Lighthouse, we cross here and continue next to the cost of the southern part of the island, exposed to the weather and sea conditions of the open sea.
When we get back to the Punta des Escullets we go back towards Ibiza coasting by the northern part of Es Vedranell. We return to Ibiza near Es Cap Blanc where we visit two caves formed by the rocks that have fallen off the cliff into the sea.
We continue passing again by Cala d' Hort where we can rest before returning to Cala Carbo.
The realization of this journey is dependent on the weather conditions. Es Vedra has strong currents that can be dangerous on windy days or bad sea conditions.
